Tranexamic acid works differently to most brighteners. It interrupts the signal telling the skin to produce pigment in the first place, which is why it’s the one used for melasma and for the stubborn patches that come back every summer.

Good to know: give it three months, use it consistently, and wear SPF daily or you’re undoing it as fast as you’re doing it. Tranexamic acid is also in the white-up+ peel, so this is the natural follow-through after a course.
